มอต่างประเทศงานหนักเบาต่างกับหมอไทยแค่ไหนครับ

I am a certified Internal Medicine/Rheumatologist who has practiced in the US for the past 20 years. This is from my observation.
Your work loads are dependent on your specialties. If you are in specialties which involve with more critical patients (cardiology, pulmonology, gastroenterology,etc), your work loads on both inpatient and outpatient cares will be more. Overall, the financial compensation depends on how many patients you see (RVU or productivity-based). In general, academic medical school-based practice will be paid less. If you are not with a good employer, your salary might be fixed or the numbers of dollars per RVU will be less depending on negotiation between you and employer and between employer and health insurances.
The (mostly paid) time off and benefits are more or less same. If you have more colleagues, the calls will be spread to more people and you will be on call less. When you are NOT on call, you can turn off your beeper and you will not be expected to get a phone call at all. Your on-call colleagues will take care of your patients if needed.
So quality of lives are much better.

รู้แต่อเมริกานะคะ
ส่วนมากเบากว่าไทยค่ะ ตามพี่ข้างบนพูด คือแล้วแต่สาขา แต่เปรียบเทียบสาขาเดียวกันส่วนมากคิดว่าเบากว่าหมด
ยกเว้นอย่างเดียวคือ cardio คิดว่างานเยอะกว่าไทยค่ะ
สมัยเรียนเป็น rotation ที่คิดว่าหนักกว่าตอนอยู่ไทย
ข้อดีคือคุณภาพชีวิตดีกว่าจริง ไม่เวรคือมีคน cover พักคือพักจริงๆ
