BASIC FUNCTIONS REQUIRED:
The U.S. Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Asia Region Deputy PEPFAR Coordinator, reporting to the Asia Region PEPFAR Coordinator, implements the mandate of the PEPFAR Asia Region Coordination Unit (PARCU) located in Bangkok. The Asia Region Deputy PEPFAR Coordinator works closely with the Asia Region PEPFAR Coordinator to ensure communication and program coordination among the various U.S. Government (USG) headquarters and agencies supporting PEPFAR within 12 countries in the Asia Region. This includes the U.S. Ambassador to Thailand and Deputy Chief of Mission, Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator (OGAC), particularly the Asia Region Chairs and PEPFAR Program Managers (PPMs), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Department of Defense (DoD) headquarters points of contact and subject matter experts, designated Embassy counterparts, and USG country staff of PEPFAR Asia Region implementing agencies. The Deputy PEPFAR Coordinator provides programmatic, strategic, and management support to the PARCU and reports directly to the Asia Region PEPFAR Coordinator.
