In case of a vitamin C deficiency that cannot be remedied through nutrition, infusions are the optimal way to counter the deficiency. Vitamin C is absorbed in the small intestine through special transport molecules and channelled into the blood. The number of these transporters is limited, however, which is why only part of the vitamin C quantity reaches the blood. Through an infusion, much more vitamin C is absorbed by our body. Such high levels in the blood cannot be achieved through nutrition and tablets.

PROTOCOL
50 ml injection bottle:
For peripheral-venous short infusion dilute 50 ml PASCORBIN with 100 ml of isotonic saline solution and slowly infuse.
Vitamin C substitution for parenteral nutrition:
To prevent vitamin C deficiency during extended parenteral nutrition,
- adults are given 100 to 500 mg of ascorbic acid a day (equal to 0.7 ml to 3.3 ml PASCORBIN intravenously.
- Children 5 to 7 mg of ascorbic acid/kg KG a day intravenously.
Methemoglobinemia in infancy:
500 to 1000 mg of ascorbic acid (equal to 3.3 ml to 6.6 ml of PASCORBIN is injected on one occasion intravenously. If necessary, repeat the administration at the same dosage.
A dose of 100 mg/kg KG a day should not be exceeded.
Do not self-medicate with injections. The injection therapy should be administered by a doctor or an alternative practitioner.
